Deng Gai did a great job, clogging up the middle, being a defensive stopper, and blocking shots when we needed.

Pierce thrives in those situations. He looks forward to his team being down so he can take the big shots and make the big shots.

It's hard to come back when you're down like that. The way they got up was from transition baskets. I just think their energy got us early on.

Everybody shrinks the box. The [defensive] triangle is so tight now that everybody is blocking shots off the perimeter shots. And if you have a good goaltender, he just becomes that extra guy.
