Depression is nourished by a lifetime of ungrieved and unforgiven hurts

For me being depressed means you can spend all day in bed, and still not get a good night’s rest.

The madness of depression is, generally speaking, the antithesis of violence. It is a storm indeed, but a storm of murk. Soon evident are the slowed-down responses, near paralysis, psychic energy throttled back close to zero. Ultimately, the body is affected and feels sapped, drained.

Constantly downcast leads to the death bed.

Just a second of her laughter can get me through the darkest day.

A lot of people don't realize that depression is an illness. I don't wish it on anyone, but if they would know how it feels, I swear they would think twice before they just shrug it.
