Despite the pouring rain, I'm satisfied with what we accomplished. We had numerous swimmers turn in best times in a very competitive and fast meet.

There are numerous unwanted developments in Ward 7. They're going on now,

There have been millions of dollars poured into this place to take that temporary, wooden camp and turn it into a modern city that could support the modern army. It's taken 65 years to happen.

It just so happens that my oldest and best friend is Bob James, the Grammy-winning great jazz pianist!

It's been pouring rain for a couple of months and it's not even the first of February. We're looking at two months, February and March, that have the potential to be as crummy as we already have had.

As athletes, we're defined by what we've accomplished. Those are what most people remember and what you get paid for. But I learned more from my failures than from all of my successes put together - failures as an athlete and as a person.
