Despite what people and coaches think, that athletes can always put distractions on the side, they can't. Players need to know in a black and white form what's going on.

I don't think so. Not at all. I mean, a lot of the people here are athletes, so they kind of know where we're coming from. But we put in a lot of extra time even outside of practice - shooting around, lifting, things like that. It's a huge commitment.

I think the pace of the game, because of the new rules, caught a lot of veterans like Steve by surprise. He clearly didn't have the jump, and when you can't get around the ice, you will lack in confidence.

In talking to our athletes and our coaches, they think it will act as a deterrent.

I don't think the ranking is going to mean anything to the coaches and the players as it relates to this team. It's just what it could mean at the end of the year and what it could mean in recruiting and what it could mean in fan support.

There hasn't been that much said about it because Tony, the coaches and the players have made it look so easy.
