dont be hard on yourself for doing something wrong, be hard on yourself when you question your faith. when you have no doubt in your heart about your faith it will slowly fix everything else

It's with a tremendous amount of sadness and regret that I announce this morning we've lost another one of our great Green Mountain Boys.

It is one thing to believe in God; it is quite another to believe God.

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

But the great thing to remember is that, though our feelings come and go, His love for us does not. It is not wearied by our sins, or our indifference; and, therefore, it is quite relentless in its determination that we shall be cured of those sins, at whatever cost to us, at whatever cost to Him.

I mean that the reason God seems to act in ways that make no sense to us is that our perceptions are wrong. Our expectations are subtly twisted. We long for things that harm us and run from the things that grow and heal us. We think good is bad and bad is good. God acts rightly, but to us, it seems confusing. Or sometimes plain wrong.
