Doubts and mistrust are the mere panic of timid imagination, which the steadfast heart will conquer, and the large mind transcend.

I have an unshakable belief that mankind’s higher nature is on the whole still dormant. The greatest souls reveal excellencies of mind and heart which their lesser fellows possess-hidden, it is true, but there all the same.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.

My heart aches for Chris. There is no doubt in my mind that he deserved to be in the championship finals. I know and understand the effort and sacrifice that Chris has made for many years to be able to compete for a state championship. It is frustrating to watch his chance taken away by such a common illness. Chris deserved more.

While I doubted, I had hope; but now there is no hope left and all the same I doubt everything.
