During times of hardship people find happiness in simplest pleasures

This year's applicants were by far the most inspiring group our committee has ever scrutinized, both in terms of hardship and the courage they have displayed. Even though some of the stories are heart wrenching, each person on the scholarship committee considers it a privilege to be able to be a part of this program and give help and hope to these students and their families.

The McLain Festival always draws a good, solid crowd of music enthusiasts, and they're a real pleasure to play for. ... We're always happy to perform there.

Happiness doesn't depend on how much you have to enjoy . . . But how much you enjoy what you have.

A smile is happiness you'll find right under your nose.

It is more important to be free than to be happy.
