Education is a bigger part. I use basketball to help my education so I can pursuit other things.

There were a few days I didn't think I would play again. My leg was three times as big with metal plate. I thought I would pursue baseball.

It was a very intense game. It opened my eyes. It was a little more physical than I thought.

The fact that I knew a few National Trail Conference players that went on to play there helped.

We got a real education from a real quick, aggressive, assertive defensive basketball team.

And there's nothing like excelling at a sport like basketball ? and having an opportunity to earn an education while playing it ? that's going to build a positive image for these kids.
