Employees don?t realize they are abusing the network and don?t understand how it impacts the rest of the business. That?s the real productivity issue.

Streaming audio and video can be an enormous bandwidth hog. It uses a lot more of the network than any other function. At a small company, one person watching can slow down the entire network.

They just have no idea that they might be consuming half of a very small stream coming down from the Internet into their (office).
