We believe a marriage is between one man and one woman.

Instead, this amendment simply defines what marriage is, the union of one man and one woman.

not diluting the marriage between a man and a woman.

The amendment goes far beyond just defining marriage between a man and a woman. What it does is prohibit recognition for all unmarried couples in the state.

A woman doing comedy doesn't offend me, but sets me back a bit, ... I, as a viewer, have trouble with it. I think of her as a producing machine that brings babies in the world.
