Everybody asks the same questions, and to tell the truth, nobody remembers. We were kids. People ask how have things changed, and I say, 'I don't know.' I wasn't paying any attention to that. I was paying attention to minding my father.

There might be some truth to (more pressure playing close to home). Kids say, 'There's so many people there I want to do so well,' so that can happen. If you're out in San Diego you're just kind of playing. (But) I don't think these guys will feel that way -- I hope they don't.

People have tremendous power, more than the average person understands, and certainly more than even I understood before I came to Congress. When any of my constituents writes me a letter, I promise you, we're listening.

The idea of kids helping other kids is such a great way to introduce children to being involved in charitable causes and volunteer work, setting them on the path to doing good for others throughout their lives.

There were probably more people at practice than at our games. I know I've never practiced in front of 10,000 people before. To see everybody is just wild.
