Everyday in practice, they are always talking about how dusty the banner is, how it's time for a new one. They always kept us focused. They always stayed in our ear about it, how hard it is. We put that in our minds.

Between the lines, I have no friends. I'll be friends with someone all day off the court, but on it, I am trying to win. This was a great atmosphere, and I am looking forward to playing here next year. It's should be exciting.

They quit talking, went out to the practice field and did something about it today.

The kids really stepped up. They played as one. All week long in practice we've been talking about playing as a team, creating shots for each other and making the extra pass.

The main thing is that they're getting regular practice and regular competition. They're exposed every day to first-class cricketers in an environment conducive to developing their game. The work we do with the young guys especially is very individual based. It focuses on the deficiencies in their technique and also on any deficiencies in the mental side of their game.
