Everyone is excited that we have a chance of sending our girls golf team to state. I feel confident that we will play our best golf of the year today.

We felt it was a good move to enhance girls golf, but we did not intend to put the (Central Board of Control) in a vulnerable position concerning Title IX.

Surprisingly, I think our girls have a little more confidence heading into tomorrow's round. The golf course is playing hard and we did not play our best, so to be within striking distance is a positive sign for our team.

We played extremely well. Anything under 300 is really good golf. I thought we might have a chance at doing it.

This is a chance for the Average Joe to get in the ring under safe conditions.... There are people who've always watched, enjoyed boxing. This is a chance for them to experience it.

It's all about athletes, especially with girls. If you can get an athlete out there that can just transfer ability, be coordinated and understand and do the mechanics and the techniques, you'll be OK. And they learn it really quick. This year I had 20 freshmen girls and I could have kept 20, that's how into the game they are.
