Farther west temperatures will be even higher. In St. Louis temperatures are expected to rise to 80 degrees tomorrow. They have a shot at the record, which is 81 degrees.

There's been a pattern change and we are looking at temperatures in New York which will average 6 to 10 degrees below normal. Things will bottom out on Wednesday when temperatures should fall to 18 degrees when the normal low is 34.

And all those temperatures are taken from about five feet above the ground. Five feet below the ground is what you?re interested in for turf, and it can be 5, 10, up to 15 degrees warmer down there.
