Folks still remember the day ole Bob Riley came bouncing down that dirt road in his pickup. Pretty soon, it was bouncing higher and higher. The tires popped, and the shocks broke, but that truck kept bouncing. Some say it bounced clean over the moon, but whoever says that is a goddamn liar.

I bet it was pretty hard to pick up girls if you had the Black Death.

Once things get through the day-to-day digestion period, broadly speaking the market is still pretty good, ... The trend to lower energy erases some of the fears of how long consumers can hold up. It gives the market enough to fear but sets us up for gradual appreciation going into year-end.

What is it about a beautiful sunny afternoon, with the birds singing and the wind rustling through the leaves, that makes you want to get drunk?

We had a nice day. It was pretty much a team effort. We were disqualified in the shuttle hurdles relay but scored pretty much in every other event.

I think that is pretty dang good. This makes Route 66 the best road trip in the U.S. That's bragging rights.
