For children, diversity needs to be real and not merely relegated to learning the names of the usual suspects during Black History Month or enjoying south-of-the-border cuisine on Cinco de Mayo. It means talking to and spending time with kids not like them so that they may discover those kids are in fact just like them.

I don't want a Black History Month. Black history is American history.

Jesus' birthday is commercialized, so of course, Black History Month is commercialized.

Don't get upset when they try and change or not teach our history because they're willing to learn our history more than we're willing to learn the truth. ‪#‎OURhistory‬

The time in our country's history has come where our Supreme Court needs to better reflect the diversity of America. President Bush bypassed the estimated 41.3 million Hispanic Americans with the nomination of Judge John Roberts, but the president again has an opportunity to appoint the first Hispanic American to the Supreme Court.
