Germany didn't want to got to war (in Iraq). I don't know how to say it any more simply than that.

In Germany, the public would be evenly divided, much unlike in 2003, where virtually everyone was against the Iraq war.

Well, it looks like we've moved a step closer to war. Not with Iraq. With France and Germany. How did we screw that one up?
