Golf is a game kings and presidents play when they get tired of running countries.

We don't want anything to damage our friendship. ... We play golf together, we go to the [North Carolina] coaching clinic together. I'll even spend a night with him and go to an East Carolina football game.

Golf, especially championship golf, isn't suppose to be fun, was never meant to be fair, and never will make any sense.

Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.
