Good players make good plays. That's what that was. That's a credit to the seniors and their leadership.

The special teams, the defense played very, very well.

I spoke one time at the Library of Congress, in 1972, or so. A man stood up in the middle of the audience, when I was about halfway through, and he said, "What right have you, as leader of America's young people, to make those people so cynical and pessimistic?"

I had no good answer, so I left the stage.

This team has the potential to be very strong. I have a lot coming back from last year and I think we can be a lot better than we were at 11-11 last year. The guys we have out want to get better and they're looking forward to playing.

Jordan and Jim White (16-10 at second doubles in 2005) are going to be playing first doubles for us. Our singles players are definitely going to be strengthened with Nick playing, but our doubles teams definitely have an opportunity to develop.

Nick worked on his game a lot in a tennis club. He'll definitely help us this season. Any time you have a No. 1 player like that, it really enhances your team. It gives us a weapon at No. 1 and it makes us a lot stronger down the lineup.
