Gordon Brown and Alistair Darling, in hosting the G20 summit and in the budget, must display the same boldness in tackling the instability at home that they do in promoting a worldwide answer to the global meltdown.

So, there is enormous instability in the global economy with a shift of winners and losers.

They should go back home and re-create their countries which we have freed from tyranny, whether it is Kosovo or now Afghanistan. I have no sympathy whatsoever with young men in their twenties who do not.

I mean, I know the man's[Gordon Brown] a ninny, Mr President [Obama], but he's our ninny, and we don't like to see you slapping him about. That's our job.

A good society is about building together and investing in the future

We must draw on our early roots and remind people why the Labour party was created and who it sought to represent. We have never been a sectional party promoting self-interest, but instead a force for engaging self-reliance and self-determination.
