Growing up in Hampton, the face of science was brown like mine.

When I was growing up in the Philippines, the story that was read to me most was Pinocchio.

I was surprised how little I knew about the significant contributions to aviation that had happened right there in Hampton, Virginia.

Growing up in the city you have an idea of cops and it's not positive at all so I think it definitely changed my opinion of police officers. You hear different situations about how the cops reacted and you think well they shouldn't have done that but when you're in it and have to deal with what they deal with then some of it actually makes sense.

I felt like a dork growing up so this is shocking.
