Guys play basketball and get hurt, and that's probably the easiest sport on the planet. We're actually fighting every day. We're wrestling; we're grappling.

I think this is the hardest day of basketball in the nation. We're expected to play two teams that are well coached, two teams that are very good, in the same day with what, three to four hours rest? To get through today was a major obstacle course.

He came to play every day. He was like Larry Bird in basketball. He was one of the first guys at practice and always put his work in. His whole attitude was contagious. You wanted to come to the ballpark and be around him. You knew you had a chance to win because he was on your team.

You just try to take it one day at a time, ... You step on the basketball floor and just play. It's fun. I'm comfortable with it.

We live to play another day. We've won four straight games and are playing or best basketball now.

Just being in the gym every day with someone with goals in common is special.
