Hands down, the best high school wrestling in the country is in Pennsylvania. It starts with the tradition there. There's great coaching, great passion, great wrestling.

The extra points are huge, and their guys are going for it. Give them credit. They have really opened things up. If you look in terms of number of wins, we're probably right there. But if you look in terms of extra points, we're pretty far back.

We're not keeping pace with extra points and it's killing us. But as far as the guys showing up to wrestle, for the most part, we're doing a real good job.

These guys are some of the best in the country... but (our guys) are not wrestling some immortal being. It's just another person.

Due to the numbers we have everybody practicing together and look to have a city school wrestling club. It seems to have worked out with everybody having a great meet in Port Alberni.

Max is an anomaly in that this is only his second year wrestling in high school and he's improved by leaps and bounds. His learning curve has been very sharp, and he's become someone who we count on to win for us. He's a wrestler that not too many people know about, so we're hoping he will continue to surprise his opponents in the future.
