Having almost 30 years in health care, there is a constant sense of change and a constant reality of change. You have to stay focused on what you do, while there's all sorts of noise around you.

Personally, I'd rather see the county resources spent on roads, parks, housing police - something no one else is doing.

We've got stability and momentum now. I'll be taking the organization and making it work so it exceeds the community's expectations in quality and performance.

If we could make that wish a reality, we could have the single greatest effect on human health.

To really see a change in people's health, these programs must grow significantly.

Health care isn't fundamentally different in the way we approach things, but because of the rapid pace of change and the complexity of it all, it puts an extra impetus on lawyers to stay on top of things.
