I had three objectives when I conducted the study. Number one, this was not unlike doing a study for a business project - is there going to be a demand? Number two was, is this a good product? In other words, is the staff there, the organizational capacity? And last was the financial viability. If there's no income, it doesn't work.

Because of that, we will be in more multiple sets. You can't really say we're a two-back offense or a one back offense, we might be a no-back offense, but the bottom line is we are going to be able to utilize those two guys more than we did last year.

Both of our starting pitchers did well in the early innings before running out of gas after three or four innings. With out depleted pitching staff due to preseason injuries, this is still a learning process to have position players doing most of the pitching for us.
