He never yelled or screamed so I felt very at home and comfortable.

I was always fascinated, even as a child, by antiques and ancient times. I always felt I should have been born in the 17th or 18th century. They really had a big stone castle with authentic furniture.

They let themselves be bare before me. They screamed and yelled and cried and moaned and sobbed and growled. I gave them a scene, a character and maybe a line and, boom, all of sudden there was another human being in front of me.

It reminded me of an old-fashioned Dublin pub. I felt really comfortable there.

I never felt truly at home in Switzerland.
