He (Ryan Hawn) throws well and we were lucky to hit the ball early and score a couple of runs. We put them on their heels to where they had to try and score to get even and I thought that was a big key.

He throws the ball better than Ball does and runs just as well. Maybe we will have learned from our experiences.

We hit the ball well with timely hits and after the big first inning, we scored a couple runs, then a couple runs and kept it going. Plus we had a chance to get Brandon Wyman into the game. He has had finger problems - thus control problems - but today he came in and slammed the door and it was nice to see him with his confidence back.

Early in the year, we had everybody trying to hit home runs. Everybody was trying to do the spectacular thing, and they were making turnovers and everybody was just doing things uncharacteristic. Once we settled down ? we started running our offense and it's really looked good.

I want to score runs and runs.

Ryan just looks more athletic and throws a sharper ball. That year of playing really helped him.
