He that climbs a ladder must begin at the first round

He that climbs the tall tree has won right to the fruit, He that leaps the wide gulf should prevail in his suit.

It was a good first round. Three birdies to finish is always nice. The wind got up a little bit, but it was a lot less than I was expecting. I was expecting it would be tough today. There is still a long way to go, but certainly it would be good to capitalize on this round tomorrow with another good one. Hopefully I can go out and keep making birdies.

O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practise to deceive!

This is really like our first round of the playoffs.

One hour of life, crowded to the full with glorious action, and filled with noble risks, is worth whole years of those mean observances of paltry decorum.
