He was a collector of knives. They pulled him over to see what was in his luggage. They saw that he just collected the knives so they let him through.

They saw me grabbing my hamstring and pulled me out. I wasn't upset about it. Jim [Mora] said he didn't want it to get any worse than what it was. We were already in a good position to score. Maybe that was selfish going back in there. I don't know.

There were knives and forks stuck in its butt. Then I saw the back, all torn open, and the cow's head, rammed into its midsection, and the blood and entrails and gore.

Then he looked back to me, and smiled. It was a terrible expression, filled with edges, and with knives.

One of the sheriff's deputies was riding around in this area. He pulled up and saw the burglar jump the fence. I walked out of my house this morning to get the paper and check the mail and never saw or heard a thing. My son's house was trashed. The man even stole a beer out of his refrigerator.

He said he looked both ways, pulled out to cross the intersection and he saw a white flash come from the east.
