Heather is thankfully out of hospital now and her progress is such that we felt the time was right for me to return.

Heather has been having problems and we are determined to get to the bottom of them as quickly as possible. It is a difficult time for all of us and I would ask that our privacy is respected.

My partner Heather was grilled by hospital staff over and over about who she was and why she was there when I was in the hospital for breast cancer surgery. We never would have had to go through such an ordeal if we were only able to be married. We're grateful that our case has finally made its way to the Court of Appeals, and hope the court will recognize how badly families like ours get hurt when we're denied the protections of marriage.

I've been a bit crook lately and had to go to hospital for a couple of weeks, so I gave the horses to Johnny to look after while I was away.

Hopefully we don't build our hopes up too much, because we don't want to do that,

I have a feeling I might get lucky after coming so close last year.
