Henry Moore was . . . the Number 1 choice whenever a public sculpture was needed. . . . It was thought that a large Henry Moore work out front would add a final distinction.

People are there by choice. It's increasingly unusual that undergraduates are willing to commit their time to something like this. What we do tends to fly in the face of a lot of popular culture. It's being committed to music making of a fairly high order.

Using that basic unit, we developed the columns and the branches that form the sculpture.

I thought I did a good job. I did everything I was asked to do, so I'm not disappointed with anything I did. I thought I was the perfect fit for them.
