Her quality of life had been deteriorating for some time, so I was relieved that she was now at peace, but I still missed her greatly.

If she was still here right now, she'd probably be amazed at what I'm doing. But hopefully, more than anything, she'd be proud.

When I tell people that my wife died literally overnight, that's no exaggeration. It was just that quick.

I just miss her so much, and I wanted to do whatever I could to help. I spend each day riding, thinking about her. So, I imagine that during the race itself, when I'll be all alone somewhere along that 100-mile stretch, I'll be doing a lot of reflecting on our life together.
