He's a young guy, but he traveled with us last year and spent a lot of time in game-plan meetings. He's got a great understanding of the defense and is a physical player. You can put him down in the box. He's a pretty instinctive player.

(St. Mary Central) did beat us the last time out, and I think that's motivation for the girls. We actually focused some on that loss and took some things away from that game. We had 32 turnovers in that game, which has been a topic of discussion this week, and the other thing was foul trouble.

(Josh) Shirley is still a game-time decision, but getting Jacob back is quite a lift. That will help us out on both sides of the ball.

It will give us more time to focus. We had a lot of time off during the Christmas holidays, but we were able to stay focused and come back and win the holiday tournament at Chicago State.

Both of those two have had a good spring. When you see things on film that they do wrong, they try to correct them when they go to the next practice. You can see them working on those things. They are two talented individuals. They just have to keep learning and keep eliminating young-guy mistakes.
