He's always been able to penetrate, but now he's smarter about it. His footwork is amazing. He stops, pivots and up fakes, and (is) getting shots off guys who have him by 2 to 3 inches.

He stayed in rhythm with his footwork and was able to deliver a real accurate ball to Cooley. You don't see quarterbacks do that a lot.

One of the things we've been trying to do is play smarter, and we were able to do that tonight. We connected well in the offensive third, dominated the middle third of the field, which is something we've talked about throughout the season, and our first five or six shots resulted in goals, which is kind of nice.

We had to get stops the old-fashioned way. We were able to get a lot of stops and grind it out against them. We just had to use a tempo we aren't used too.
