He?s been involved with (football) since he was a kid. It?s really a lifestyle for him.

If he could coach and do it on his own terms, I think it would be something he might go back and do. But it?s an all-consuming thing for him. So I don?t know if he?d want that again.

I think being a mathematics guy, he?s always trying to figure something out, and how to solve it. I think that?s the challenge for him.

I am endlessly fascinated that playing football is considered a training ground for leadership, but raising children isn't. Hey, it made me a better leader: you have to take a lot of people's needs into account; you have to look down the road. Trying to negotiate getting a couple of kids to watch the same TV show requires serious diplomacy.

It is wonderful, ... Steve and Dan took professional football to a whole different level with the way they played the game. The fact that Steve is going in with Dan is very special.
