He's got a great blend of speed and strength. A lot of guys have one or the other, but he's got both.

Every highlight they show is him smacking the crap out of the quarterback. So then I put my baby down and lie in bed. For two hours I can't go to sleep, so I get up and just start reading. I got three hours of sleep because I'm up all night thinking about him.

The strength of this team is its pitching depth. Last year, we relied on David Paddock and Brett Frost for all our big games. This year, we've got nine guys who can really pitch. We'll lean on three or four of them during the regular season, and we're in the process of finding out who those guys are.

Nathan has combined dedication, strength, and athleticism to get to this level. He's a talented athlete who is very dedicated to making sure he's in the best possible shape. He lifts weights year-round and attends other workouts on his own.

We've got to finish strong, because of the strength of schedule, and 17 and 18 wins gets us in the tournament. The committee needs to treat [the MWC] like some of the bigger conferences and make sure we get some teams in the tournament. This has been one of the strongest years in the Mountain West Conference's history.
