We always expected that Beebe would reap the benefits of his many contacts with special interests in Arkansas. He's raised a lot of money but spent an inordinate amount of money doing that, so we're quite comfortable with where we are right now.

It's been fantastic. He's been campaigning for over a year now, and he's been to ever corner of the state. Throughout Arkansas, a lot of people are open to the new style of leadership Asa is promising to bring to the governor's office. They're really responding to his positions on tax reform, improving education, and growing more jobs in Arkansas.

If elected governor, he'll take the appropriate steps to ensure there are no conflicts, just as we expect our opponents to do with their own business connections.

Our position is that if state ethics laws have been broken, that's a serious concern. But we don't know enough of the facts to comment at this time.
