Hopefully we'll get a lot of community support for this. We had a great time with the state tournament two years ago. Hopefully it can be just as much fun this year.

We finally got enough support and enough funding from the community from the sign program to go ahead with this project. It was a big commitment to take on because we did not have the signs sold before we committed to the project. We pushed the sign sale and the community stepped right up and helped us out.

For tomorrow to be successful we're going to need the continued support and growth of our membership and our community. Our vision is that downtown Mount Vernon and the Central Business District will be the choice for shopping, dining, entertainment, recreation and tourism in Ohio.

There are a number of programs in place to encourage developers, and I don't support that. If free-market forces bring developers to want to invest because they see that they can get a proper return on their investment, great. But we shouldn't be spending tax dollars to that end.

I feel like our community has a lot of attractiveness. There's a certain allure to Canyon, partly because it's dry, I feel like.

It was a big win for our community. We had great fan support. They were excited.
