How can any one person watch another person 24 hours a day? That's not even realistic. They have been incredibly careless with children.

There is no way that these men are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ... Cardinal George should release their names. And then he should be going to every church and school where these men have worked and actively prod anyone with information to turn it over to law enforcement and to police.

I've lived in the states for 24 years and I've never gotten to go home on St. Patrick's day, but this is just like being home.

What they call monitoring leaves a lot to be desired. There is no way to monitor these guys 24 hours a day.

Hundreds of kids haven't yet gotten basic abuse prevention training and hundreds of employees haven't yet had simple background checks. This is inexcusable and is one more sign that bishops place little priority on protecting children, despite years and years of horrific abuse and cover up.

Any step toward openness, however partial or belated or begrudging, is welcome. We hope this will prompt other victims of pedophile priests to come forward and get help.
