How can one heal from abuse while the abuse continues?

When a child is severely abused it forever is entrapped in its body as a child...the body matures, but the spirit is still a child.

My heroes are those that have made it to the other side of abuse.

It is a constant struggle to be happy in the sadness of abuse.

“How much should we sacrifice for our children...everything...till our very last breath.”

If a child does not have parents it can trust, where does it learn to trust?
