I advised them to get it. If there's a bat flying around your house and you are suspicious that it had been there earlier, then you shouldn't waste time. It's very sad that the county didn't come up with it. But I can understand them sticking to protocol.

We're asking people to be vigilant and report anything suspicious.

My father's originally from Buxton (N.C.), and he loved those geese flying overhead. His favorite were the Canadian geese. He could go out there and honk just like one. And on the day of my daddy's funeral, when the hearse pulled up our driveway, a flock of Canadian geese flew overhead in a V formation, honking away. I could almost reach up and touch them they flew so low.
