I always think - when I get mad, and people say, 'Don't be the angry black woman' - it's like, well, why not? There's so much to be angry about.

There are people who do what they believe is right, but as they say, 'The road to hell is paved with good intentions.'

I always tell people I want to live to be 150 and they say why would you want to do that. I say, well there's a few people I haven't made mad yet, I want to get them.

Not to say there's not good TV out there, but I think TV is better when it accurately reflects the world as it is.

I say, 'Why not' to everything.

I would ask my mother to show me how to walk - and she did show me. That's why I think it's funny when people say, 'Did so-and-so teach you how to walk?' And I always say, 'You must be talking about my mother, because it was my mother who taught me how to walk.'
