I am extremely proud of my service with the government and my efforts to help safeguard public health and protect our country against the scourge of offensive biological warfare.

But I am just as appalled that my experience, knowledge, dedication and service relative to defending the United States against biological warfare has been turned against me in connection with the search for the anthrax killer.

I am enormously honored to be one of the spokesmen of the New Age Womens Health Campaign, so you'll be seeing me in public service announcements and public appearances supporting the campaign.

We will continue to do all we can to protect the public health against these dietary supplements that have been found to cause serious illness and injury.

I am very concerned that federal and state air quality programs do not consider public health in regulating certain classes of industrial air emissions.

Public service is a part of who I am, having grown up in a family of politicians.
