I appreciate and respect the approach [Jenkins] is taking with this, especially his effort to include as many people as possible in the discussion. That's extremely respectful of us, as students in particular.

As long as you're respected among your peers, that's all that matters, and he has my utmost respect. He's proven himself. He continues to reinvent himself. Everything he does on that court, you'd best believe every other player recognizes it. He is a true All-Star and one of the elite point guards.

People are starting to know we're more than just Chase. But he sure brought a great effort.

Father Jenkins, your paradox, like ours, is embracing an institution crafted by other people and taking it as your own, conforming its identity to your individuality, and determining your unique way to be a powerful means for good in this country and the world.

I recognize that there was work people did before we got here, and I have respect for that.

You can always put plenty of effort in, but if you're not good enough you go down.
