I called her and she didn't even hesitate. She immediately said she wanted to go.

It was overwhelming to see how many people have zero ability to get health care and immunizations and things like that.

Hearing the human spirit stories of her experience was striking. She treated so many victims and they all had a story about so much devastation, and yet they were still appreciative and grateful for the treatment that they were being given.

I got a call over the weekend where they wanted me to submit some names of people who were interested in helping.

The poem is a form of texting... it's the original text. It's a perfecting of a feeling in language - it's a way of saying more with less, just as texting is.
