I called [Pete] to say, 'What's going on? You're calling everybody but me,' ... He told me they were going to reevaluate the situation. I said, 'What's to evaluate? You're either in or you're out.'

He got a good one. If he was a boxer, they would have called the fight. I don't know how many (stitches) he will need, but he's going to need several.

A bunch of them lived on State Street in a house we called the 'Munster House,' ... Pete used to tell this story: They were rehearsing one day and Sam stopped the band, waved his arms, and said, 'Gentlemen, could we please all dress as musicians!'

Quincy called one and I told them we only had one and told them we needed one at the end. But those things happen I understand and we had no timeouts. I even told our guys if we had a time-out we would have won this game.

Lisa called me here in Alabama and told me about this. And, I'm only about 3½ hours from Hattiesburg, so I told her to fly to Birmingham and I'd pick her up and then we could drive down to Hattiesburg together.

When they signed him back, I called him and congratulated him. I told him that there was going to be riots over there if they hadn't gotten him back and we both laughed.
