I can't fathom anyone talking about what great care their hospital provides unless they walk the halls. Families (at the hospital) see me all of the time because I think it's crucial to be in touch with the quality of care we deliver.

It's been important for us to remain independent and be a voice for women's health.

Our founder was a woman of great vision who knew early on that women are not small men and shouldn't be treated as such. Her goal was to make the hospital as homelike as possible, and we continue to adhere to her vision today by treating each patient like they're family.

He said, 'Don't tell her I'm in the hospital,' but she already knew. That's something hard to fathom ? knowing the condition he was in ? to make that request.

I will continue to support legislation that provides American families and Seniors affordable health care.

You knew then that this was not any kind of hospital that cured, but a hospital that held, that kept their patients away from the rest of the world, a kind of ark that floated along full of life, but not participating in life.... These people no longer made progress.
