I can't remember life without diabetes. It's part of me and I've accepted it. I didn't think twice about it.

I´ve learned about being able to accept myself with diabetes, and I´ve learned a lot about the disease, ... I like educating people about diabetes. I don´t see a point in keeping it to myself. It´s part of my life.

As a seven-year-old, I remember when Etan Patz disappeared and was immortalized as the first missing-child face on a milk carton.
