I did grow up with Kurt Russell as a Dad, who was a professional baseball player, with all boys. All I wanted to do was be the best athlete. I was the kind of person that in high school, if I didn't beat the record, I was very disappointed in myself. I finally got to do that in my work.

He's as big a surprise as there is in baseball this year.

Small boys were a mystery to Sylvie. The satisfaction they gained from throwing sticks or stones for hours on end, the obsessive collection of inanimate objects, the brutal destruction of the fragile world around them, all seemed at odds with the men they were supposed to become.

We've still got to go out there, play these out, play hard and try to bring some playoff-type baseball into the dugout. We need to step it up and bring some passion.

Boys are unpredictable. This maybe not be news, but I'm starting to think it's one of the best things about them.

Any time you think about Atlanta Braves baseball, you think about the postseason and success, ... Coming over here, I knew that they were going to have a shot to do something special. It's been a little bit of a roller-coaster ride this year, but we're here right now. We feel like we have a good team that's going to be able to go out there and win and put up a championship for the city of Atlanta.
