I did want to go out there for the ninth inning. I had good stuff and I felt like I could have done it, but I'm just glad I helped this team win. We really needed a win.

I know he's a little frustrated, but I can't imagine starting the season without Miguel Tejada. He's going to be very hard to replace. He's a team leader, a good player. I'm pretty sure he's going to be back. Once spring training starts, I'm sure he'll be OK.

It's not a big holiday for Asians.

I was very confident with my fastball. I felt if I walked him I'm out of the game.

I thought I had good command of all my pitches. I thought I changed speeds really well, and [catcher Javy Lopez] called a good game.

I want to win, and my teammates, they play hard. We're trying our best. We're bunting the ball. We're moving guys over and we're getting good at-bats, and that's all you can ask for. I know my teammates are going to score some runs.
